Jiminy Glick? FunnyOrDie.com? Exposing Ronald McDonald’s nasty ways? It’s like the world has combined three of my all-time favorite things in a perfect little package.
Proving that even fast food can be funny, famed celebrity interviewer Jiminy Glick (aka Martin Short) gets “Ronald McDonald” (aka Andy Dick) to open up about the cruelty involved in chicken manufacturing on FunnyOrDie.com.
The video is in response to McDonald’s stubborn resistance to use controlled-atmosphere killing — a type of slaughter far less cruel than their current method. According to PETA:
“McDonald’s U.S. and Canadian chicken suppliers abuse birds using a cruel and outdated method of slaughter. Birds often have their bones broken and their throats cut while they are still conscious, and many birds are immersed in tanks of scalding-hot water while they are still alive and able to feel pain.”
Not cool, McDonald’s. NOT COOL!
Check out the video below and get ready to laugh your face off.

PETA’s chicken slaughter campaign makes no sense. These chickens will still be murdered needlessly and they will still live a horrible life before they get to the slaughterhouse…what is PETA doing about that? Gassing or not, they live a horrid life and die regardless. They are not our property and should be able to live their lives freely as they would want to. We don’t need to consume chickens to live healthily, so why would PETA be a proponent of gassed chickens??? It just works against the AR and vegan movement instead of moving it further into the next generation. “Happily” killed meat is not my idea of ethical.
