		<description>as a long time bike commuter and bike advocate, I&#039;ve always been somewhat annoyed--from an environmental perspective--with the idea of driving somewhere to bike.

you burn kCals of fuel (from petrol) to drive there and burden the roads on the way, making them more dangerous to city bikers.

then you burn kCals of fuel (from food, involving petrol inputs) to bike in the country.

i see a system that has easily solvable redundancies.

at least they carpooled...</description>
