A cow's eye- which was from a cow already butchered for its meat- why waste any part? 2. A chicken wing- uncooked, form the grocery store, killed for the main purpose of food. 3. A fish- once again,...... I agree with Grant. Vivisection is wrong and dissecting an animal that was killed for the sole purpose of dissection(such as frogs, which are already in enough trouble) is wrong and wasteful. But sometimes, it would be wasteful NOT to dissect the part of an animal(such as the cow's eye, which serves no purpose) I’ve only performed three dissections:

I agree with Grant. Vivisection is wrong and dissecting an animal that was killed for the sole purpose of dissection(such as frogs, which are already in enough trouble) is wrong and wasteful. Then again, that seems to be what they do with most issues. I walked out of a college level biology course that was asking us to kill and dissect frogs, but participated in many dissections of cats, pigs, sheep and a few other animals. What's the difference between dissecting a cat and a frog?... The cat was already dead. By PETA's own admission, they euthanize hundreds of dogs and cats every year, so why not allow those animals to be "donated to science"? The same situation exists with getting pigs, sheep and other livestock from butchers and farmers. Learning what i learned dissecting animals is largely what made me become a vegetarian, as it gave me an appreciation and understanding about animals, and their parts, that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. So yeah, killing a live animal just for the sake of dissection is wrong and unnecessary, but utilizing some of the animals that are already being killed in order to teach people more about them is something all-together different.
