We strive every Twitter Thursday to introduce something different from previous weeks, and this time ’round we’re happy to be hooking up with GreenSmart on their innovative line of eco-friendly notebook sleeves.

I know, I know — notebook sleeves aren’t exactly sexy, but they do come in handy for protecting your valuable bits and bytes while traveling. GreenSmart has created a sleeve that has all the qualities of neoprene, but without the nasty chemicals. From their website,

GreenSmart has abandoned the chloroprene chemistry of neoprene entirely and developed a material with all the attributes without the hazards, We call it neogreene. It is water based chemistry that allows for water based adhesives that still provides the squishy and smooth material with a little bit of stretch. Specific to all neoprene, neogreene uses 25% less electricity and 25% less petroleum to produce? And the stink? With neogreene, that is gone for good.

And here’s a bit about the sleeves themselves: “This sleeve has a specially designed gusset and mesh interior to breath for your laptop.
