You’ve got billions of dollars. How do you spend it? If you’re famous mogul George Soros you invest in clean energy.
Soros recently declared that he will invest $1 billion in clean-energy technology and donate $100 million to the Climate Policy Initiative - an environmental advisory group he will start to aid policymakers. Soros said:
“The problem of global warming is primarily a political problem at this point. The science is beyond dispute, but how do we achieve the objectives we all know are necessary? That is a political problem.”
The London-based Climate Group estimates that the world needs to spend about $1 trillion a year to keep temperatures from rising more than 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s a lot of dough!
At the end of the day, we’re happy to hear that the über rich are investing their loot in sustainable projects. Thanks a billion!
