Stanford Prof Calls New Anti-Global Warming Film “Dishonest Filmmaking”

The people behind the new anti-global warming film Not Evil, Just Wrong have found themselves at the end of a losing battle with Stanford University — and accusations that their editing of interview footage amounts to “dishonest filmmaking”.
The filmmakers interviewed Stanford civil and environmental engineering Prof. Stephen Schneider for the movie, but were later told that they did not have permission to use the footage. Furthermore, Schneider says that his comments used in the movie were taken out of context and and that the filmmakers “manipulated his viewpoint”.
“I’m always on the record,” Schneider told The Stanford Daily. “I just pulled the plug on these guys because it occurred to me they were not honest.”
This isn’t the first time that climate change skeptics have twisted the words of scientists and researchers in an effort to prove a point. The laughable “documentary” titled The Great Global Warming Swindle was ruled to have “misrepresented the views of some of the world’s most distinguished scientists”.
It appears that history is about to repeat itself with this gem of unfortunate “documentary” filmmaking.

Distortion in documentaries is unfortunate. I think the authors of this movie are trying to fight fire with fire. Al Gore’s movie twisted facts as well and used hyperbole as a way of fear mongering. His movie was bad science even if anthropogenic global warming is true. People still quote the ‘hockey stick curve’ in intellectual debate, when in fact, the model proposed by Al Gore was later shown to be false.
Only idiots still believe global warming isn’t a reality.
I can even accept that people have doubts regarding what is causing it but I don’t accept that they say global warming is a myth.
I’m still young but NEVER in my life have I wore summer clothes in the middle of October in my country. Right now it should be cold and raining all over the territory but there are people still going to the beach. That NEVER happened before (since there is meteorological data).
So don’t give me the bullshit that global warming is a myth because I can literally feel it on my skin!!!
This doesn’t mean it will be warmer everywhere – some areas will actually become colder while others become hotter.
Have another cheeseburger and a shot or two of Botox Al.
thank you! where i live its getting colder right now (usually its warmer, but i heard the cold has something to do with el nino) and people are all, “what global warming?”
thats right, just eat that humburger, pay no attention to the fact that you could be ruining the future of the planet…
I can’t believe there are still skeptics out there…unbelievable!
gggrrrr…..kinda makes you want to smash something…
I know! For hundreds of millions of years the earth remained the same temperature. Nothing ever changed until people came on the scene.
Look, sorry, that’s just not true. The climate has always been in constant flux. Or have you not heard of that little thing a few thousand years back called an “Ice Age”?
Are you guys that stupid?
Global warming – it is jsut a climate change, the climate was ALWAYS changing, most of you are stupid enought not to know that…
Then why have 300 nobel prize winning scientist agreed that the current rate of climate change is produced through a human effect and that something needs to be done about it.
Are you a scientist or a meterologist or just an idiot, ab or c
I have 10 years background within research insitutions and have a PhD in computationl Physics and mathematics. I decided a few years ago to
look at all the evidence I could find, in order to make an informed
opinion on this important subject. I didn’t just look at stupid little
articles repeating opinions by lots of people (including famous people
with high social status), I looked at the more detailed scientific
evidence. Do you know what the Hockey stick is about? If not, it shows
you spent no more time than most people who just take what they see in
the common media at face value! As an example the sort of material I am
talking about, I suggest you look up, for example the seminar series
by Professor Bob Carter (posted on youtube amounst other places). If
you can’t even be bothered to spend the time and effort to digest and
evaluate open mindedly the content of his seminars, then there is no
helping you. By the way, I am not being paid by some oil company to
write this, nor am I depended on towing the line to get research grant
money to keep my job (if you work in any scientific government held
post and speak up, you would lose your job). My work now is in IT.
