Make It Right NOLA, the foundation started by Brad Pitt to sustainably rebuild New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward, has a new website — with one color in particular standing out.
A number of new features are now present – including blogs divided into categories like Architecture and Design, Green Technology, and Rebuilding. It’s apparent that Make It Right is aiming to educate the masses on green building, as well as raise money for projects. They’ve also done an excellent job of organizing videos and photos of publicity for the organization, interviews, green homes, etc. Sadly, embed codes are still not present — so a hike over to Youtube to find footage is still your best bet for content you can publish.
Another nice addition is the “Work and Progress” section which gives you an up to date look at what homes are under construction, and stories of the families that stand to benefit from them. As always, there’s also the Merchandise page and Donations section to lend a hand with your wallet.
Overall, it’s great to see Make It Right using their website to further inspire and educate on green and sustainable building. Their progress in the Lower 9th Ward is a testament to the power of people coming together to make a difference — while helping the planet and each other in the process.
