Tonight, President Obama will be holding the first official dinner for visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and we’ve got some good news: the menu is totally vegetarian.
Chef Marcus Samuelsson along with White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford will be preparing the dinner, which will feature foods like Red Lentil Soup and Roasted Potato Dumplings.
Singh is considered to be an ”abstemious vegetarian,” and will certainly appreciate the efforts made to serve a plant-based meal.
[Update: We made a boo boo! Looks like this menu isn't as vegetarian as we thought. Somehow we missed that prawns were being served as an entree. Our bad! ]
