There are only 2 excuses for people in the developed countries to eat meat: Stupidity or Ignorance

Stupidy is a lifelong impairment, but fortunately ignorance can be cured... as witnessed by all the former meat-eaters who are evolving to veganism.

I haven't eaten meat in 30 years. For this simple act of kindness, I have been attacked from every angle and yet I have never heard anyone voice a single argument with any merit whatsoever that would justify eating meat... except perhaps that there are some starving people in poorer countries who don't have the luxury of choosing what they eat.

Being a meat eater implies ignorance... trying to defend such an abomination without merit implies stupidity.

So if anyone wants to fire up the old flamethrower go ahead, because I've already heard all the lame excuses of selfish people with primitive cognition.

The cure for such ignorance is as simple as watching a movie or two which does not even require literacy... however the ability to put aside old outworn ideology and think for oneself would be an asset for evolving into a more civilized cruelty-free non-violent enlightened person.

Here are links to a free education.

Enjoy and Go Vegan!

P.S. The only difficult aspect of being a vegan is being tolerant of meat-eaters and listening to their selfish excuses... the rest is pure joy.

I think its wonderful that people choose to eat a meat free diet. For me the most important aspect around this debate has to be climate change. Following this logic, there is little reason not to include dairy products as well.

I think this message is easier to sell however if you call on people to reduce the amount they eat. There are (in my opionion) 4 main reasons why people need to think about meat and dairy (but not always have to give up):
1) Climate change (18% according to UNFAO - questionable figure but highlights the point)
2) Resource depletion - agricuture based on oil, water and deforestation = not sustainable
3) Human health - mainly applies to red meat
4) Animal welfare - mainly applies to intensive farming.

If you are worried about any of these issues then logically you want as many people as possible to re-think their eating behaviour. The best way to do this is by asking people to cut down what they eat.

I think good on the campaign, just drop Paul as it gives all the wrong messages!

It should be an everyday everyway decision, however, I guess it should start somewhere. The school system should serve vegan choices, daily, but sadly many do not.
