    These “weapons” seem inadequate. Why not employ some better equipment, like GPS trackers that can be thrown onto the hull of the ship and stick. Or a sonic disrupter that could be attached to the side of the ship with magnets, as to scare away whales. It would be further booby trapped so that when they removed it, it would spray some sort of nasty stuff on them
