Happy Twitter Thursday — our last one of the year! We’re going out with a bang with custom yoga mats from Yogamatic.

We recently discovered this cool company that lets you choose from designing your own one-of-a-kind mat, or choosing from over 250 of their awesome designs.  Yogamatic mats are non-allergenic, non-latex, free of phthalates, lead or chemicals, and printed using water-soluble ink, so they are non-toxic.They  donate 5% of all mat proceeds to Global Green.

They’ve also been busy producing a web series called Posers and have featured some fab celebs including Mariel Hemingway and Chloe Jo Berman.

Winners of this contest will be able to choose from the gallery of 250+ designs – allowing you to choose a mat that suits your lifestyle. No more boring purple mats that aren’t nearly as cushy as Yogamatic’s 1/4″ mat.

Gonna buy one? Use special discount code: 122509 at checkout to receive 20% off your purchase by 12/31/09.

So far I’m competing against two guys I know. Yes! Due to foot problems I don’t leave my house much, but yoga helps stretch my feet and make them feel better. Because I can’t stand very well I do all my yoga and work outs in my house. A new mat would be amazing!

I do Vini Yoga to best help me with my severe back problems. Yoga has allowed me to FINALLY live pain free and if I miss a day or two – its very apparent! I am so thankful to have found a non-medication or surgery option for me!

I used to practice at a studio, but can no longer afford the costs. Through some great recommendations I now have a great program that I am able to do at home in my living room. I don’t have a mat currently though and would REALLY love one!

Warm woodstove, beautiful view…it’s the only “me time” I get, and I guard it like a rabid pitbull:)I have Fibromyalgia and PTSD, and I cannot tell you how much yoga has helped! Peace through out your holidays!

I love the Yogafit classes at my gym. They are held in a nice dim room with candles and lavender scented spray in the air. Such a great way to work out and unwind!

I’ve been practicing for … almost 15 years… which is about half my years:) Now I practice at home a few times a week, and pop into class at Kula Yoga in NYC whenever possible.

I also use YogaLocal NYC, the iPhone app, to find classes on the go when I have a few free hours around the city.
