Most of you are probably familiar with Causecast, the social networking site that helps people connect to the causes, charities, and nonprofits they care about. However, you’re probably not as well acquainted with Levi Felix, their magnanimous Director of Creative Development and all-around incredible person. No, he’s not a celebrity (although with that name, he should at least be a great magician — or talking cat) — but the adventure he’s been sent out on is worthy of a Hollywood press reel.

Causecast is sending Felix on a round-the-world trip to meet activists, volunteer with nonprofits, report on conflict, make films and take photos with the hope to help those is need. His new title is pretty appropriate for the journey too: CAO, Chief Activism Officer. “I’ll be visiting schools and organizations, speaking with anyone and everyone,” he adds.” I’ll be learning about global youth culture, and leading discussions and conversations in coffee shops, halls, bars and parks about the subjects of Effective Activism, Net Neutrality, Media and Social Change.”

Levi’s website “This Is The World We Live In” acts as a real-time guide to where he and his girlfriend Brooke are currently visiting — as well as an accompanying blog filled with photos and journals of the people and charities they’re meeting.

It’s one thing to write about non-profits and discuss the impacts they’re having in the world, but it’s certainly much more engaging and enlightening to pull back the press release curtain and actually visit them in action. We applaud Causecast for taking their mission of social change personally to places all around the world and strengthening the bonds of communication that allow us all back home to help. We wish Levi and Brooke the best of luck in their travels — and want them to know that we’re insanely envious.

Follow their adventures here.
