With last year’s attack on bottled water a complete success, the Sundance Film Festival is once again gearing up to make further reductions for 2010 — and continue educating people on the benefits of going tap.
The FilterForGood campaign has once again been selected to lead the charge — with Brita and Nalgene donating more than 40,000 reusable bottles, as well as an increase in the number of Brita Hydration Hubs throughout Park City where festival-goers can fill up with filtered water.
“The Sundance Film Festival is committed to reducing our carbon footprint, and reducing bottled water is one of the simplest ways to do that,” said Sarah Pearce, Director of Festival Operations for the Sundance Film Festival. “Seeing thousands of people at the Festival last year walking around with FilterForGood Nalgene bottles showed us how passionate our attendees are about making positive choices, and we want to continue to offer them such opportunities.”
The Lazy Environmentalist Josh Dorfman will once again be on hand to serve water, dish on the benefits of dropping bottled water, and, we hear, sing and dance. Just ask him.
