Oprah is hosting a huge show tomorrow on where our food comes from — and it’s sure to bring massive exposure to animal agriculture abuses, vegan/vegetarianism, and eating local.
Alicia Silverstone just blogged about her experience as a guest via satellite and is thrilled at what will be shown to America.
Tomorrow’s Oprah episode will be all about the food you eat, where it comes from, and how it affects your health. The episode will feature some footage from Food Inc., and will also have Oprah talking to Michael Pollan about his views on food. In my segment, I took the viewers grocery shopping for yummy, plant based food. Then, I went to Laura Linney’s apartment and we made some recipes from my book! We made the Cheesy, Oozy Guacamole Bean Dip, the Artichoke, Mushroom, and Leek Crostini with Pesto, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups.
Silverstone goes on to say that Oprah asked her at one point about poop — so we’re anxious to see what that’s all about. And how about a little promotion for Food, INC. too? Love it! Check out a promo for the show below:
