Think vegans can’t do marshmallows and chocolate? Well, Marc Summers just might disagree.

Vegan food company Sweet & Sara was recently featured on Food Network’s long-running show “Unwrapped,” and got us dreaming of vegan smores!

“Our smores are made entirely from scratch, made in small batches, made entirely from hand,” said Sweet & Sara founder Sara Sohn. “We hand-scoop every graham cookie, we weigh out every marshmallow filling, we hand coat every smore with chocolate. No mass production, no industrial equipment.”

YUM! And lack of mass production and industrial equipment makes for lower energy costs. We love that!

True, “Uwrapped” never mentions that Sweet & Sara is an all-vegan company, but still, we’re happy to see cruelty-free deliciousness get some great publicity!

They look delicious. My only comment is why all the packaging. There must be a better way.

The packaging looks pretty minimal to me. I mean, one layer of wapping around the S’mores, and the smallest possible container to hold the marshmallows. I only saw the clip, and I’m glad a vegan company is getting featured, even if the show doesn’t say it’s vegan.

Man, Unwrapped would always make me hungry when I’d watch it.
