Jamie Oliver was on hand at the 2010 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference last week to accept the TED Prize — a $100,000 award that helps to achieve a particular goal or project of the recipient. Oliver was selected for his remarkable efforts to change the way the developing world feeds children; especially in regards to the growing problem of childhood obesity.
It’s his 18-minute acceptance speech, however, that really proves just how committed he is to changing the way the world views food. “I wish for your help to create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity”.
