Whether buying into a vineyard or lending their name to a winery, Hollywood stars have found a new niche by turning to the bottle – - the wine bottle, that is. In the world of celebrities, wine-making has become the new posh thing-to-do. Celebs cite various reasons for getting into the business from a personal affinity for the product to being able to raise money for charity. Once thing is certain, the public is drinking it up.

Since 2000, celebrity-powered wines have shown steady growth in market share and monetary sales. To tap into the glitzy realm of Hollywood, consumers are willing to pay almost $2 more per bottle of wine if it has a famous name connected to the brand.

Antonio Bandaras, Wayne Gretzky, Jason Priestley, and Dave Matthews are just some of the names who have attached themselves to wine. Check out our gallery here.
