Cadance Parker, the first WNBA player to be named Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player in the same season, is fronting a new anti-fur ad for PETA.
“I feel very passionate about the fur campaign for PETA,” says Parker. “I really feel like it’s very cruel what [fur businesses] do to animals. … [A]nimals don’t have a voice, so people have to speak for them.”
In the ad, Parker poses alongside her beloved rescued mutt Fendi. The tagline says, “If You Wouldn’t Wear Your Dog, Please Don’t Wear Any Fur.”
