plastiki, david de rothschild, expedition

The Plastiki — a boat made from over 12,000 plastic bottles — set sail from San Francisco on Saturday on a journey of 11,000 miles to Sydney.

Of course, you don’t have to rely on just their tweets to stay updated. The group behind the expedition, with some handy sponsorship, have launched a new website that let’s you track the ship — and enjoy some juicy nautical deets along the way. As expected, there are also videos, a blog, and other cool bits to give you a taste of what De Rothschild and his crew are going through.

Check it out here.

Bonus: The top header animation is worth watching for a few minutes.
