Famke Janssen Shops NYC On Two Wheels

X-Men star Famke Janssen recently did some shopping around NYC — and we’re happy to see she chose some green transportation over a taxi or car service. Then again, we’re not surprised — we’ve previously caught Famke hitting NYC on two weeks even while dressed to the heels. This green girl and animal activist has a love of biking for sure!

    she is dutch just as yours truly, and the dutch bicycle by the millions. we always have bicycled before somebody called it “green” just because its fun and healthy and more convenient in the city. we make our innercities very car unfriendly and stimulate bicycles by providing good bicycle lanes etc. as i said before, the only green car has two wheels and a set of pedals ! :-P

    What about the plastic bags she’s sporting? This doesn’t look too environmentally friendly to me.

      True but still, it’s better than most celebrities that take their Escalade to pick up 2 things at the supermarket and have them put those 2 things in 5 bags!

      Maybe she will recycle those back at the same store, maybe not, but if we always focus on what people are doing bad rather than point out the good they are doing, it’s kind of not winning anyone over, I think. Wow there’s a run-on for ya.

        No, no, no! It’s much more fun to focus on what she’s doing WRONG than what she’s doing right. Like that bicycle. Where did the metal come from? And the tires? OMG, the world is DYING from all the rubber tires. And how much carbon is the plant that made them spewing out? Hey, let’s all boycott rubber tires! And the basket on the handlebars! I bet third-world slave labor made that basket. Oooooh, and the sunglasses. What, she’s too good to look at our world without them? What kind of statement does that make?

        Ladies and gentlemen, I think it’s clear to us all. We must kill Famke Janssen!

      Perhaps she reused them? I have hundreds of plastic bags laying around the house.

      I have about 4 that I leave under my seat on my bike. That way if it is raining I can throw a bag over OR if I buy something and either forgot a reusable bag or simply didn’t plan on buying anything, I have the plastic bag.

      But like Don Miguelo said, it’s better then celebrities taking their escalades.
