lexus hybrid

Remember those BMW short films featuring Clive Owen back in the early ’00s? If not, they’re infomercials worth checking out as each was directed by some pretty famous people like Guy Ritchie and Ang Lee and delivered solid action on the small screen.

Anyways, as Autobloggreen points out, it appears that Lexus is tearing a page out of BMW’s book with its new “Dark Side” of green trailer. The film will reportedly be released on May 13th — and involve the automaker’s newest green model, the CT200h. From the site:

The plot is that some opposition group is trying to swipe hybrid technology. The CT200h needs to make it to Los Angeles before dawn. Tony is the crack wheelman, you’re the navigator who’s tasked with also keeping our boy Tony from avoiding sloppiness. Go.

Sound interesting? Well, based on the trailer below, we’re giving it a solid “eh”. We’ll see next month.
