On April 9, 2010, New York City residents will have the chance to attend the Sense & Sustainability Eco-Friendly Cocktail Party — a benefit to raise funds for the documentary “First Sight.”

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an organic cocktail reception, sample sale, and silent auction followed by an eco-friendly fashion show with four emerging designers. Sounds kinda awesome, right?

But here’s the extra cool part: all the money raised from the event will benefit the post-production of a documentary on curable blindness in India and the Sankara Eye Foundation.

According to the Sense & Sustainability crew, “There are more than 45 million people living with curable blindness in southeast Asia. The documentary, called “First Sight,” will help raise awareness to their cause.”

If you’re excited about this event, visit FirstSightTheMovie.com to get your tickets. Ecorazzi readers can get $10 off the ticket price by using code “GOGREEN” at checkout. See ya at the event!
