Sundance Channel’s five-part original series “Seduce Me” debuts online on April 20 and coincides with the network’s Tuesday night environmental programming block.

The series which is written by, directed by, and starring Isabella Rossellini gives us a view into the seduction rituals that precede the mating process of creatures from bed bugs to cuttlefish to snakes. So, one may say, before the educational, informative, and somewhat creepy displays in Rossellini’s Webby-award winning series “Green Porno” which gave us a bizarre insight into how animals mate, there had to be some seduction. That’s where “Seduce Me” comes in.

Rossellini explains, “After my comical series, ‘Green Porno,’ on how animals mate, I wanted to showcase a new series about how animals seduce each other with different, varied and incredible strategies…they might give us some new ideas about how to conquer our mates!”

The “Seduce Me” web site will showcase the series and also include cast and crew interviews and behind the scenes videos and photos. The “Green Porno” videos will also be available.

“We thought nothing could top the weird and funny brilliance of ‘Green Porno,’ but with ‘Seduce Me’ Isabella Rossellini has surpassed herself,” said Sarah Barnett, GM and EVP of Sundance Channel.

Following the online debut on April 20 “Seduce Me” will be available on Video On Demand beginning May 5th and premiere on Sundance Channel on May 25 ET.
