If basketball star John Salley and Skinny Bitch co-author Rory Freedman are headlining an event, you know it’s going to be i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e!

The dynamic duo are teaming up to host VegFest — one of the country’s “premier vegetarian events that celebrates and teaches about an animal-free, plant-based lifestyle.”

According to the VegFest site, last year more than 1600 people attended and the organization is expecting even more for this year’s big bash. We love that news!

The event will take place in Michigan at Ferndale High School from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 18. Besides getting to hang with Rory and John, you’ll have the opportunity to try delicious local veggie food, participate in cooking demos and win some great prizes.
