There’s a climate war going on at the Colbert Report and we’re waiting in the trenches to see who wins!

On Tuesday’s show, Stephen held a “Science Catfight” about climate change with Joe Bastardi, chief Accuweather forecaster, and Brenda Ekwurzel, a climatologist at the Union of Concerned Scientists. There seems to be a general disagreement about climate change among climatologists and meteorologists, and Stephen wanted to see who’s point was stronger.

Colbert introduced the segment by using his master logic to deduce, “On February 6 it was 10 degrees. Today it hit almost 80. At this rate, by August it will be 220 degrees.”

And with that the debate began.
