Last night at Manhattan’s Chelsea Piers, Robert Kennedy’s Riverkeeper held its annual Fisherman’s Ball, honoring Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger & HBO.

Over 600 supporters showed up for an evening of food, fun and an entertaining Q&A between James Lipton and Governor Schwarzenegger in the style of ‘Inside the Actors Studio.’  Spike Lee, Chubby Checker, Chevy & Jayni Chase, Lorraine Bracco, Nicole Miller, Melissa George, Bradford Rand and Candace Bushnell were all in attendance to support one of New York’s most important eco-focused organizations.

This year’s fundraiser also paid special tribute to Riverkeeper’s Alex Matthiessen, who after 10 years announced he will be stepping down as President — but will still have an active role in the organization.

Sound like an organization you’d like to know more about? Join them at the 20th Shad festival & Hudson River Celebration on Sunday, May 16th or visit RiverKeeper.org.
