On May 1 and 2, country mice will mingle with city mice at Farm Sanctuary’s California Country Hoe Down, featuring special guest Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone.

According to our friends down at the farm, the event will offer vegan food, hayrides and ample time to stroll around the barnyard. There will also be a full day of presentations and workshops on health, the environment and social justice. Finally, on Saturday evening, the event will conclude with an ol’ fashion hoe down, complete with live music and contra dance caller. This Florida boy likey!

Besides Biz, the hoedown will welcome Farm Sanctuary President and Co-Founder Gene Baur and Jonathan Balcombe, Ph.D., author of “Pleasurable Kingdom and Second Nature: The Inner Lives of Animals”.
