Shout it from the rooftops: Hugh Hefner is the friggin man!

The Playboy-owner and gentleman extraordinaire recently dropped some major coinage to help save 138 acres of private land sitting to the left of the Hollywood Sign.

Earlier this month, Ecorazzi reported that The Trust for Public Land had launched the Save Cahuenga Peak campaign in an effort to preserve the historic land, and thanks to Hugh they’ve achieved a huge victory!

According to the organization, Heffner donated a whopping $900,000 to the Save the Peak campaign, triggering a $500,000 donation from Tiffany & Co. and Aileen Getty. Way to step up to the plate, guys!

“While the deal closed with a large gift, it was the supersized efforts of a generous and energetic community of supporters that made the campaign possible,” said a Trust e-mail blast. “It’s people like you who helped us save Cahuenga Peak, and we are very grateful.”
