Anna Nicole Smith’s PETA Pink Satin Dress To Be Auctioned For Charity

As part of the Hollywood Legends auctions, Julien’s Auctions is presenting property from the estate of Anna Nicole Smith. Along with a variety of offerings including furniture, decorative bronzes, Playboy memorabilia, handbags, and costumes, Smith’s estate is auctioning the pink satin dress the playmate donned for a 2004 PETA anti-fur ad.

“We are excited to work with Julien’s Auctions to offer Anna Nicole’s personal belongings to her many fans. The auction proceeds will benefit both charity and our daughter Dannielynn,” said Larry Birkhead, Smith’s former boyfriend.

The summer auction will feature 250 personal belongings—with all proceeds going to the Anna Nicole & Daniel Wayne Smith Charitable Foundation and a trust for Dannielynn Birkhead with the exception of the satin gown which will benefit PETA.

The Anna Nicole Smith collectibles will be auctioned off at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino Las Vegas on Saturday, June 26th.

That’s very big of Larry to allow for this dress to be auctioned off for PETA’s benefit. Lets all hope that the other items are auctioned off and the proceeds are used to provide for Dannielynn and not to simply buy new toys for Larry. I guess we’re getting to the end of the road as far as Anna Nicole money is concerned, her fame is not one which is likely to generate everlasting residual income…..but I think the pay days that Larry has gotten in the last few years should have been good enough for him not to think about pursuing Anna Nicole’s feeble claim against the Marshall estate any further. The Courts have spoken on that matter and so I think Larry has gotten the message and this auction will likely be his last big score from Anna’s celebrity.

I seriously hope that Larry Birkhead is using the money generated by the ANS auction for his daughter’s education/benefit rather than to fund the legal bills generated by the 15 years of frivolous litigation that was Marshal v. Marshal. She seems like such a sweet little girl!
