First he publicly went veg, then he gave the ol’ angry fist to the dairy industry, and now The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper is raising awareness for the plight of shelter animals.

Harper recently adopted Karl — a rescued puppy from Animal Advocates Alliance — and according to the LA Times is using his voice to speak out against puppy mills.

“It just kills me when people spend money on a dog when there are dogs in shelters waiting for someone to take them,” Bob said. “I want to tell them, ‘No! Those are puppy mills!’”

We couldn’t help but notice that last season both Jillian and Bob were wearing PETA’s Fight Breedism t-shirts, and are so excited to see that Bob is taking it to the next level.
