What do you get when you combine the fan power of Carole King and James Taylor? A lofty check to a few fantastic eco organizations!

Just yesterday, King and Taylor announced that their “Troubadour Reunion” tour has raised a whopping $1.5 million for charity. The money was raised through special packages offered to fans, including stage seating, pre-show soundcheck sessions, private VIP receptions and a commemorative tour book.

The duo will hold a press conference on Sunday to discuss the initiative in more detail and to present a check to the Natural Resources Defense Council, Alliance for the Wild Rockies and other charities.

We heart both those groups!

The $1.5 million is 50 percent more than either performer had anticipated, and they’re only at the halfway mark of their tour. Fingers crossed they raise another cool mil’ before the tour ends!
