Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom can finally put a rest to all those engagement rumors.

A rep for the 33-year-old actor confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the two are engaged and planning a wedding. While it’s unclear when Bloom popped the question, we know the web has been buzzing about it since the fall of 2008.

If you’ve been around this site, you’ll know that the couple is well known for their environmental activism. Kerr, a Victoria’s Secret model, has been a green issue cover girl — with the most recent example being a nude appearance on Rolling Stone’s June ’09 spread. In 2008, she revealed her green-themed plans for settling down and starting a family saying, “I’ve always wanted kids, so… someday… eventually, yes, it will happen. My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and vegetable patch. When this is all over, that’s where I’ll be.” She also regularly supports anti-whaling initiatives and organizations like the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Bloom, meanwhile, is a constant supporter of Global Green USA — making appearances at nearly every one of their Pre-Oscar parties. He’s also campaigned for various climate change initiatives and expressed interest in living in a sustainable home.

We wish these two the best.
