brad pitt, bp, oil spill

The rumor mill is buzzing that Brad Pitt may be bringing a “dramatic” version of the BP oil spill to a movie theater near you.

Sources are saying that the 46-year-old actor is talking with Hollywood execs about creating a film on the tragedy in the Gulf — which, unfortunately, still has no Hollywood ending in sight.

That Pitt would be interested is certainly no surprise considering his ties to New Orleans through his Make It Right foundation and home in the city’s French Quarter.

No word yet on if this rumor will turn out to be true — but can we suggest Kevin Costner for the lead? Just seem to fit.

UPDATE: A rep for Pitt has shot down these rumors saying, “they have heard nothing about this.
