We talk a lot about Hollywood celebs here on Ecorazzi, but that doesn’t mean we don’t posses equal love for their Great White Way counterparts.

Broadway star John Tartaglia recently got our attention when he signed on to work with World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) ‘Animals Matter to Me’ campaign — an initiative that seeks to build a community of citizens who care about animals and their welfare.

In a video for the organization, John says, “Animals have inspired many of the characters I’ve created for the stage and on television, and they have always been part of my family. My animal companions now include two rescued Cocker Spaniel dogs — Dora and Parker, who is disabled; and two shelter cats Mia and Shanti. WSPA is doing incredible things around the globe to support the protection of all animals and if anyone can push for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare, they can.”

Tartaglia joins a long list of celebrity supporters, including some of our favorites like:  Simon Cowell, Ricky Gervais, Leona Lewis, Miranda Richardson, and Christina Applegate.

Check out WSPA-USA.org to learn more about the campaign and show your support by joining the more than 2 million people who’ve pledge their support.
