Wall Street has been hungry for a bright spot amid the financial doom and gloom — and surprisingly, they found it yesterday with Tesla Motor’s IPO. Investors took a joy ride with shares in the electric carmaker closing up more than 40 percent in its first day of trading.
It marked the first initial public offering by an American automaker since Ford’s debut in 1956. When the final bell hit, the company’s worth topped out around $2.22 billion (ahem, on paper).
I thought it might be a good time to recap the celebrities that have been associated with the Tesla Roadster — something we’ve covered here on the ‘razz for several years. Most on this list either have a car themselves or have been linked to the brand. Check it out after the jump.
