Another green site owned by a corporate giant has bit the dust.

It appears that sometime around late May, AOL finally pulled the life support on its green living site, Greendaily. All traffic now redirects to ShelterPop, it’s home decorating-centric site.

It was pretty evident that such a move was coming — as Greendaily had become little more than an aggregator in its final months. It seems that the recession slowly nibbled away at the ability to retain contributors and keep the traffic flowing.

If anything, the news has got to be encouraging for Heart’s The Daily Green, which was often confused with AOL’s site.

RIP, Greendaily.com
