Cameron Diaz, who currently stars in Knight and Day alongside Tom Cruise, is thinking about ditching the spotlight to spend an entire year on a farm, according to the Daily Mirror.

“I’d get to raise my own crops and livestock, and for once just see how life is cultivated,” said the 37-year-old. “It’s almost like this primal thing. I really just feel as if the earth is where we all come from and we have nothing if we don’t have soil, water and sun.”

Diaz explained that after reading about agriculture, she feels a strong desire to work with the earth—comparing her yearning to “a painter having to paint.”

During her interview with the UK magazine, Diaz also discussed her feelings about the Shrek series coming to an end, what she wants in a partner, and when she plans on having children.

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
