2010 Emmy Nominations: 'Whale Wars', 'LIFE' Get Nods

Nominations for the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced with some of our favorites getting a nod.

Discovery Channel’s series LIFE and PBS’s The National Parks: America’s Best Idea received equal nominations within the categories of Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming, Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming, Outstanding Sound Editing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera), Outstanding Nonfiction Series, Outstanding Picture Editing For Nonfiction Programming, and Outstanding Cinematography For Nonfiction Programming.

Whale Wars received 2 nominations this year and will be competing against LIFE and The National Parks for the titles of Outstanding Cinematography For Nonfiction Programming and Outstanding Picture Editing For Nonfiction Programming.

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution is up for Outstanding Reality Program and everybody’s favorite funny lady, Betty White, will compete for title of Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series for her Mother’s Day hosting of SNL.

And finally in the category of Outstanding Commercial, Audi gets a nod for their Superbowl Sunday Green Police commercial.

The Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday August 29 at 8 p.m. ET.
