
What happens when a plug-in vehicle loaded with some serious batteries drives through 3-4 feet of water?
That’s what the engineers behind the new Chevy Volt wanted to discover — putting to rest any concerns that driving these vehicles through a deluge of rain might somehow make them inoperable or deadly.
After the first minute or so, you’ll see that they work just as well (if not better) than their gasoline counterparts in navigating through some tricky wet situations. Though honestly, you might just want to find another route home.
