On Sunday, Kristen Bell will turn 30-years-old and is using her big day to help make a big difference.

The star has teamed up with Charity: Water to raise money for their important work bringing clean drinking water to impoverished nations.

On a special donation page, Kristen writes:

“A billion people in the world are living without clean water. EFF THAT. Water-borne illness is the second highest cause of childhood death in the world. NOT ON MY WATCH. 45,000 people will die this week alone from contaminated water illnesses. Y’ALL, LETS GET OFF OUR HINEYS AND FIX THIS. Please help me get to my goal of 100K and let’s have a clean water toast.”

So far, the star has raised almost $6,000 and hopes to collect $100,000 by Sunday! That’s a lot of moola!

Prisons profit from exploiting life and labour

Most young workers don’t want anything to do with manual labour jobs in meat and dairy, and as a result, a large majority of agricultural workers are marginalized people

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
