The August issue of InStyle magazine profiles Sienna Miller, who serves as global ambassador for International Medical Corps, as she travelled to Port-au-Prince clinics following the earthquake that ravaged Haiti. Miller wanted to witness first-hand the devastation caused by the January 12 quake which left 300,000 people dead and approximately 2 million displaced.

“The spirit of the Haitian people – despite what they’ve experienced – moved me so much,” said Miller who hopes to draw attention to the long-term need of Haiti’s people.

The actress continued, “The long-term problems that Haitians are now facing are really only the beginning. We must help rebuild, yes, but that includes providing safe, healthy environments for everyone.”

Along with the feature in InStyle Magazine, which is on newsstands this week, Miller’s trip is highlighted in a video on the magazine’s website.
