While hanging in the Galapagos with celebrities like Edward Norton during the TED Mission Blue voyage this past April, Leonardo DiCaprio says a scary moment happened during a dive.

“I was trying to get footage with a rinky-dink camera,” he told Rolling Stone. “I looked down, because I was exerting myself a lot, and I think the tanks weren’t fastened properly, and I had, like 40 pounds of pressure.”

Admitting he was scared for his life, DiCaprio shared oxygen with his fellow divers for the rest of the trip, but says, “All you think about at that moment is, like, ‘Get me the hell out of this situation’.”

In partnership with National Geographic, the 6-day trip featured over 100 esteemed guests and twenty-five inspiring speakers collaborating on new ocean conservation initiatives.
