Have you ever been like, “Man, I’d really love to hang out with Alec Baldwin at a super cool summer party in the Hamptons”? Well, now is your big chance.

We’re excited to be giving away 3 sets of tickets (6 tickets in all) for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s “Opening the Doors to Compassion” event in Sag Harbor, NY — just a two hour drive from NYC.

The event will take place at the Dorothy Frankel Gallery and Sculpture Garden on Saturday, August 7th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and feature PCRM president Neal Barnard, director of public and government affairs Elizabeth Kucinich, and, yes, special guest Alec Baldwin.

The event is completely sold out, but we got our hands on 6 tickets and want to give them to YOU.

Because, I mean is there really anything better than partying with Alec, Ecorazzi and PCRM in the Hamptons? We didn’t think so!

    I’ve been a long time fan of PCRM. Especially their dissection campaigns and their work to get med schools to stop using live dogs and pigs as teaching animals (who are then killed after being operated on). And who doesn’t love their healthy lunches campaign! I would love to go to this event and tell them in person how absolutely amazing I think they are.

    I appreciate the fact that the PCRM’s efforts to save helpless and innocent animals from being killed for supposed purpose of medical research. I like that they understand that animals do not have to be used in order for medical research to take place. I also like that the PCRM is very passionate about promoting preventative medicine. As a person that works in the health care industry I understand the need for preventative medicine and it is important for organizations to try to get the word out to people that preventive medicine is extremely important. I would love to attend this event to learn more about the mission of the PCRM and to talk with others who appreciate the efforts that they have made toward a healthier and more informed society.

    Top three reasons I would love to go to this event:
    1) I’m a huge fan of the PCRM (I drink my green smoothies everyday!)
    2) I’ve lived in NYC for 5 years but have never been to the Hamptons
    3) Is it just me or does Alec Baldwin continue to get hotter with age?

    I have always picked up stray animals. I feed them, clean them up and find homes for them, with a 100% return policy, no questions asked. I love that someone else cares. I would like to go to New York, and I would really enjoy meeting Mr. Baldwin.(Who wouldn’t?) But with kids and animals, its not gonna happen, would you take my sister instead?

    Reasons I would love to to picked for this event: PCRM is a wonderful organization that does a lot of great things for people, Alec Baldwin is an interesting intelligent person I would love to meet, and I’ve always wanted to go to the Hamptons.

    I am always excited to see a celebrity who cares about animals. In our celebrity-driven culture, it seems that they are the only ones who can really make a statement and have it be heard, so more power to them!!! Alec Baldwin is a very talented guy, and he wins lots of extra “points” with me by being involved in this worthy cause. Thanks to Mr. Baldwin!!!

    I would love to go so much! I’m crazy about Ecorazzi and Alec Baldwin and PCRM! My boyfriend always gives me a hard time when I spend $ going to charity fundraisers but this way I could go and bring him without having to hear how I need 2 save more of my $. Please! Please!

    I would LOVE to attend the PCRM event in New York because I have been a supporter of their organization for many years. I am vegan, and I do not believe in animal testing of any kind. I look forward to a time when all people live a cruelty-free lifestyle and see animals for the beautiful individuals they all are. I adopted two rescued lab rats from The Humane League of Philadelphia two years ago that I will love forever. They died peacefully last year, and they made me even more committed in trying to help end animal testing forever.

      I too loved the rats that I acquired from my young nieeices and more from one of their friends. I went on to adopting more from the Winnipeg Humane Society. Rats are awesome little creatures. They each have personalities. One female I had was the housekeeper. Every day, when I returned home from work, I’d find a mess of floor shavings tossed out of the cage. I stayed home one afternoon and saw this girl, very busy, tossing only the soiled shavings.

    Hi there, I would love to come to this event to gather more information and how I can get more involved. So I’d like to meet Mr Baldwin and Co. to get more insite, help and advise, so that I can bring it back to Australia and fight for this great cause. I work in the health industry and have seen how this operates and I have got to tell you I didn’t like what I saw.

    I have been a supporter of animal rights for quite some time. The work being done by so many organizations to provide homes, food and adoptions for needy animals has always impressed me and encouraged me to do the same. All my pets have been strays and they’re great. No animal should be mistreated or used for experimentation just because they are “animals”. Their love is unconditional and where else can you get that? It would be an honor to attend an event for such an organization. Oh, and meeting Alec Baldwin wouldn’t be too bad either.

So with this kind of forward thinking, PCRM’s ‘Opening the Doors to Compassion’ event on August 7th has got to be the hottest ticket in town! The delectable Mr Baldwin is just the ‘organically grown cherry on my unbleached flour, preservative-free cake’. So to speak.

    I just discovered ecorazzi this morning when I did a search for “freegans”—I heard the term for the first time on “Oprah” last week and wanted to learn more. I read about the Dalai Lama as freegan, then found the Chelsea Clinton wedding story—I didn’t know she’s a vegan and was delighted to see that her wedding menu was primarily vegetarian/vegan. One new discovery after another and I finally found Alec Baldwin and his work with PCRM. It resonates with my values,work and volunteer projects. I believe that we in this country need more and better education about our most vulnerable: children, elders, animals, etc. I eat nothing “with a face and a mother” for both health and ethical reasons; I work with children, and I’m an educator/brain trainer. My passions are networking about preventive/alternative health, elders and children. I’ve just published a book that I edited, written by past writing “students” and will be putting out a new edition that will benefit the hospice that cared for my mother, who died in February at age 93. Hospice was a new experience for me as were the responsibilities, challenges and gifts of taking on the role of caregiver for a most dear family member. I am constant seeker of knowledge and continue to spread the word about those who need it most. Attending the August 7 event would be a dream come true for me. Thank you for the opportunity.

    Because I donated a kidney to an animal activist I didn’t know.

    And Dr. Pippin from PCRM provided important input that convinced the transplant team that, though my blood levels were different ‘cuz I’m vegan, I was healthy enough to donate. (Healthier than a carnist!)

    I have always admired the work of PCRM and Dr. Barnard, especially after seeing him here in Columbus, Ohio. Also, my husband and I just had to cancel our much needed vacation (not having had one for 3 years now) because our dog was afflicted with sudden acute kidney disease and we had to devote all our attention to helping him heal. The Hamptons is a place I’ve been wanting to visit for a very long time, and the perfect place to meet up with some courageous leaders, including Alec B. and Elizabeth K., whom I love!

    here’s the deal…

    i have always been a big fan of alec baldwin!

    anybody who knows me knows that about me.

    i just adore him.

    more then that i appreciate his brand of humor.

    i find his choices delicious perfection.

    i recall during ‘the departed’ when his character states ‘i love the patriot act’- i KNEW he ad libbed that line.

    as a gift, my husband got me a pic of him and tina fey. through some connections he got it signed by alec. it says, ‘dear carter i’ll wait…not forever’. it was one of the most romantic gifts i ever got!!

    anyway, i’ll sign off by saying i support PCRM and i do NOT support animal testing of ANY kind. i think spending a summer evening in the hamptons with alec baldwin would be just delightful.

    i would also like alec to know i am very happily married woman and that any fantasies i have of alec usually involve witty banter and tickle fights.

    I am interested in attending this event to learn more about research ethics in medicine. I am passionate about research ethics in communities of color and low income and am interested to learn more about how PCRM uses its mission to promote those that are most vulnerable. I am also very passionate about environmental issues and how they disproportionately impact communities of color and low income. Hopefully I can learn more about all of the intersections between treating all creatures equally and with respect.
