This is what we call taking one for the team.

David Arquette recently used his time at the tattoo shop to help encourage young people to get out and vote.  In a video for Rock the Vote, the actor said (while in the middle of getting tattooed):

“Hey, I’m David Arquette and I’m getting a tattoo at Lollapalooza, and you’ve gotta vote because that’s the right thing to do — and it’s hardcore.”

We couldn’t agree more!

Would you get a tattoo to help promote your cause? Already have one? Chime in and share your activist tattoo/taking one for the team story. Why? Because it’s hardcore!

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.

Jallikattu was a single issue campaign doomed for failure

Filing a case in the courts is a time-consuming and expensive affair and, sadly, doomed to fail because, by and large, the laws of the land reflect the views of the people.
