We were pretty sure there wasn’t anything cooler than zombie movies, but then we discovered a subgenre: Eco Zombie Movies. WHOA!
Today we learned that the producers of Paranormal Activity are working on a new “zombie eco-horror thriller” called The Bay (formally known as Isopod), which revolves around a viral outbreak that sweeps across the eastern seaboard and sends everyone into a frenzy.
According to Nerdles.com, the movie will focus around the small town of Claridge, Maryland and will be made up from “a collection of frantic 911 calls, shaky camera phone footage and other mediums.”
At this moment, we don’t have any information on cast or release dates, but we do know that Barry Levinson is set to direct. Levinson is the man behind Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man, and Sleepers, so we’re pretty sure this film has quality potential.
What do you think? Does the world need another eco-horror film after the lackluster The Happening,? Chime in and let us know if you’d see this movie.
