On last night’s episode of Dating in the Dark — the classiest of classy reality shows — a love-fueled war broke out between two plant-eating contestants.

Here’s the deal: Kayla is vegan. She’s been vegan since birth. And Kayla really likes dudes who are into animals, which is cool and all, but Kayla’s also a little…well, crazy! Then there’s Kahleel. Kahleel is vegetarian and gets really offended when compared to a vegan. “No, no, no, they are completely different,” Kahleel says with a defensive tone.

When the veggie news is shared with the group, the reactions are similar to what you’d expect: the guys are all like, “Oh man! Lame! Barbecue! Manly men! RAWR!!!” And the girl who isn’t vegetarian boasts, “Tee-hee. Not a vegan or vegetarian. I like meat.”

By the end of the episode, Kayla and Kahleel are fighting over the same guy and determined to get his heart. Who wins the feud? You’ll just have to watch the episode below to find out.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
