Enjoy a good party? What about a Global Work Party? Actress Ellen Page hopes your answer is still yes!

Page has teamed up with 350.org to support the 10-10-10 Global Work Party — a day dedicated to doing something that will help deal with global warming in your city or community.

“I’m tired of waiting around and listening to politicians argue; they need to stop talking and starting working,” says Page. “Together we can show how it’s done. This October 10th, join millions of people around the world for the 10-10-10 Global Work Party.”

Already, over a 1,000 groups in more than 150 countries have come up with ways to participate, including arranging a giant bike fix-up day, installing solar stoves for a massive carbon neutral picnic, and planting thousands of trees.

The goal of the “party” is to show government that communities all around the world are serious about cleaning up the planet.

Do you have a great idea for a 10-10-10 Global Work Party? Check out Page’s video below and chime in with your ideas.

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
