If you can’t tell, we go just about crazy when stars support fantastic, hardworking organizations. WE GO CRAZY!!

Actress/activist Eva Mendes, recently spoke to CNN about her work with The Art of Elysium — a nonprofit organization that encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions.

Mendes discussed how teaming up with the organization has bettered her life and empowered her to help better the lives of others.

“What we do is we bring in the arts in any way we can to those hospitals,” says Mendes. “We sing. We read to the children. We finger paint. And it’s amazing what you see. Some of these kids can’t speak and really just have their eyes and their souls to communicate with.”

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
