zombies, new jersey, the walking dead

Tomorrow, gloomy rain or shine, the 3rd Annual NJ Zombie Walk will attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the “largest gathering of zombies in history”.

The current record is held by Seattle, where over 4,200 of the living dead gathered this past July. The NJ event is hoping to smash that with over 6,500 participants. Will you be one of them? Undead pets on leashes are also welcome! From the site,

Rise up from the grave with thousands of zombies to wreck havoc on the city of the living. Shamble around town for an incredible line-up of concerts, contests, parties, movies, film makers, horror artists and events all day long. FREE to the public, open to all ages and for one day only!

Jump here to find out more information — but if you’re planning on staggering your way Asbury Park Convention Hall, make sure you’re there by 4pm to be included in the full count!
