For it’s fifth consecutive year, North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) is hosting the DogCatemy Celebrity Gala in New York City.

NSALA is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization that, in 66 years, has saved almost 1,000,000 animals. Now that’s something to celebrate!

Actress, singer, and author, Sandra Bernhard will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies with musical guest Deborah Cox. Other celebrity guests include Howard Stern, Harvey Fierstein, Marc Bouwer and Stephen Baldwin.

In its fifth year, DogCatemy Celebrity Gala has become a tradition for celebrities and their pets,” says NSALA. “Each year, artists and newsmakers create videos starring their beloved animals for this Hollywood-style award show.  The categories for this year’s awards include:  Best Pawformance, Best In Show, Best Tail Waggin Flick, and Best Dogumentary.”

The event will be held on November 4, 2010 at 6 p.m. To find out more, stop by AnimalLeague.org.
